Kalpataru Ki Meaning
Kalpataru Ki came from the Sanskerta language. This term is the combination between words “kalpa” and “taru”. Kalpa means “wishing” or “Hoping” and “taru” means “tree”. So, kalpataru could be interpreted as “Wishing tree”. The complete is consisted of six elements : tree, animals, vase/flower, beads or pearls, chattra/the umbrella and birds.
Kalpataru / Kalpawrksa / Kalpadruma or Devataru and it is one of five sacred tree available in God Indra’s paradise. The five sacred trees are named pancawrksa, they are Mandara tree, Parijata, Samntana, Kalpawrksa, and Haricandana.
The Symbol of the Life
The clamp animals and birds on the tree are the symbol of peace. The flower vase is the symbol of wealth, prosperity and fertility. In the meantime, the flowers that bloomed on the tree itself are considered could give fruits, food, clothes, jewelry and the wealth as well as the happiness. Whereas, chattra symbolized the holiness.
The Hindu religion as well as Buddha, which is followed in Indonesia, both of them knows well about this ‘Pohon Hayat (The tree of life)’. In the Buddhist religion, this life tree is known by “Pohon Bodhi (Bodhi Tree)” that is related with Enlightenment accepted by Prince Sidharta. After the Buddhist religion entered Indonesia, the name of the tree is related with the banyan tree, both of them are included in Ficus religious.
In Hindu Religion
This tree is known by the name of kalpataru, kalpawrksa, and has the same meaning as the banyan tree. According to ancient Javanese scrolls sources, this kalpawrksa tree consists in two forms. First, the Kalpawrksa Tree as the paradise tree and is related to myth. Secondly, the Kalpawrksa Tree as the world tree which its shape could be observed with your senses and it appears as the golden tree. There is no explanation whether the two trees have differences or similarities in their characteristics. Javanese’s belief in ‘pohon hayat’ experienced the further development. Javanese depicted this life tree in the form of the decoration ‘Gunungan‘ that is the other form of Kalpataru. This decoration could be seen in the mosque complex and the Sunan Sendang’s grave and also in puppet show.
Kalpataru Ki
Kalpataru-Ki was found in the stages of long and deep meditation process, in the level of the awareness/enlighten of the universe. Kalpataru-Ki is a part of a system or the system itself of the life in this universe, and all of them are linked with the awareness system of humankind to the Creator, Our only God. All form of energy, the energy system is the small part of the God’s energy existence or the God’s system itself, but from each sprinkling which is gathered is a unity that must not be dispersed, because initially they were one.
Kalpataru-Ki was created by accessing 99 Spiritual Cosmos Energy stages, that were taken from the big core cosmos spiritual energy in the universe, with Kalpataru-Ki will make the practitioner to be calmer, patient, wiser in facing the chaos of the life so with his calm ambience will be expected to be able to achieve peace of mind.
Characteristics of Kalpataru-Ki are: Smooth – Cold and Cool – Soft, but have very high and very strong vibration when being channeled for recuperation, for the practitioner who has Clair-Audience (this vibration could be listened as the high-sharp shriek in the mind/thoughts).

The system in Kalpataru-Ki is divided into 4 levels and do not use symbols but actually all symbols of any traditional reiki could be used in Kalpataru-Ki.
Basic Level;
Here the student will be cleaned from all the wastes/ dirt or negative things in chakra and the pulse, all main chakra (start from Mooladhara to Sahasrara) the Nadi Ida Route, Pinggala, and Sushumna, chakra that placed on the hands palm, fingertips minor chakra, heart minor chakra and 12 points heart Chakra, foot palm minor chakra and 12 points addition of foot palm minor chakra will be opened and activated. Afterwards the practitioner then will be attuned with energy of Kalpataru-Ki. Preparing the eterik route for the awakening of Kundalini Kalpataru to further level. In this stage, the practitioner could give recuperation for himself and other person.
Intermediate Level;
Heart Chakra (Anahata) will be enlarged and also all other chakras, and the adjustment towards energy of Kalpataru-Ki enlarged by 144 times.
